MEET RACHEL

Rachel is a New York City-based certified Pilates instructor with 8+ years of teaching experience. A self-described rebel, she is dismissive of the rigid mindset of traditional Pilates, bringing an incredibly diverse background to her work that includes instruction in aerial pole dance, barre, bodybuilding, strength and high intensity interval training. This array of modalities has influenced what she describes as her “exceptionally modern, athletically minded” approach to Pilates.

We wake up each day with a unique kinesthetic experience - different aches, pains, energy and endurance - meaning every day on the mat will be different, and we should embrace the body we’re currently in. Through creative and challenging sequencing, Rachel encourages her clients to maintain proper alignment, deepen body awareness and think long-term about goals for growth. Her job is to stay closely attuned to client feedback in order to guide them towards increased strength and mobility safely over time. At the end of the day balance is the key to life - and most importantly, the key to longevity!

Rachel currently teaches Pilates privately and at Equinox Fitness clubs in Manhattan. She holds certifications in Pilates, NASM-Personal Training, and PRO-Natal (pre and post) natal fitness.
